I went to the Bronx zoo last week with some artist friends!






You may notice I did a bit of spring cleaning on ye olde blogge. My link list was getting rather ridiculous. Fear not, I am still following the 140-some blogs via the handy blog reader. Astute readers may also notice that the 5 most recently updated sites from said list appear to the right.

I did this right before our Arizona vacation, but didn't finish inking it until last month.

Bandage hands

I had a run in with a quiche crust 3 weeks ago and scored myself some second degree burns on my (thankfully) non-drawing hand. Some brush pen drawings I did of my mummy hand. These are straight to ink, no pencils.

I broke out the watercolors to wish my friend Nelson a Happy Birthday. I'm working on a series of these little guys, though they're on hiatus until after MoCCA.

A quick note on the slight format change: I actually finished the sketchbook I was drawing in, so I switched to 11x14 vellum bristol board I'd brought to work on a different project. I ended up with a page to spare of that too!
