My sister got married! A few months ago I designed her Save the Dates and Invitations. Despite our living in different states, it was a pretty easy collaboration through the wonder of cell phones and websites for paper selections.

Sketches from the River Common
My mom was on the East Coast this past week, so I took a couple days to visit family in PA. We went to an open mic night at The River Common in Wilkes-Barre which was organized by my cousin. As the last of the opening bands played I sketched a bit before the sun went down completely. If you're in the area, you should definitely check out some of the other events planned for this lovely spot by the river.

An afternoon on Governor's Island
I went out to Governor's Island two weekends ago with Cynthea, Nelson and a few of their friends. There were tons of great subjects to draw from the Jazz-Age Lawn Party!
I borrowed some of Cynthea's new pens from Kinokuniya for this page. The orange marker was great since so many outfits had orange in them!
Some photos and more writing from the day are here.

Urban Nomad 3 update
I've been bogged down with freelance work and trying to get Urban Nomad 3 done in any spare time I have. So the blog posts will be slowing to about once a week until the fall. Here's a sneak peak at all the penciled pages and some inked pages on my desk.
This will also mark my 11 year anniversary of living in the greater NYC area. The people I've met over the years and the situations I've been part of have all molded me into the artist I am now and the kind I want to become. Thanks.
