New recipe comic time at Cooking Up Comics! This week try making some Rosemary Apricot Cookies!
Thanks to everyone who came to Pete's Mini Zine Fest last weekend! We had beautiful weather and it was great to sit outside in Brooklyn chatting about comics with people. It was also nice to meet fellow zinesters and reconnect with people I'd met previously. Thanks also to Marguerite and Andria who did a wonderful job with organizing and advertising the event. There are some photos of the event here.

Gazpacho recipe comic and Pete's Mini Zine Fest this weekend!
The new recipe comic this week is perfect for the heat wave we've been experiencing on the East Coast: Gazpacho!
-------------------------------------------------------------
A reminder that I'll be at Pete's Mini Zine Fest this Saturday July 21st (2pm-7pm at Pete's Candy Store, 709 Lorimer St. Brooklyn) There will be a ton of local zinesters and cartoonists selling their reasonably priced wares. There will also be a comic making workshop at 5pm given by the lovely Marguerite Dabaie! It's free to get in, enjoy a nice cold beverage and wander around the bar and the garden in back of Pete's while checking out some local talent.
I should have a brand new order of complimentary Cooking Up Comics bookmarks by then. I'll also have some Cooking Up Comics magnets and issues of my auto-bio comic; Urban Nomad. For the friends of felines, check out Counter Attack (Issue #1 is free on my site!) If music nostalgia is more your thing, try the mini comic Rock On! I've also made a handful of new zines. "Sidewalks" is a bit of a departure from my usual comics, come check it out.
Pete's Mini Zine Fest is one of my favorite small press events, hope to see you there!

Tomatillo Guacamole and Pete's Mini Zine Fest
This week's recipe at Cooking Up Comics is Tomatillo Guacamole
You may have missed last weeks recipe since it updated on the 4th of July: Beer Batter Crepes!
If you haven't checked out my official artist Facebook page, I'm just short of 100 'likes' if you're so inclined. I'll be posting some sketches and convention photos over there when I have a few spare minutes.

The last comic show I have scheduled for 2012 is Pete's Mini Zine Fest on Saturday July 21st at Pete's Candy Store in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. It's a super laid back indoor-outdoor venue, and I've really enjoyed the last few shows I've done there. Stop by, grab a beer and buy some comics and zines from local artists! I'll have some mini comics, magnets and will probably be ordering a new batch of Cooking Up Comics bookmarks since the first run went like hot cakes. Hope to meet some readers of the blog at Pete's!
