Several of my comic pages from Urban Nomad, including two issue covers, are included in the exhibit "Underground Heroes: New York Transit in Comics" at the
New York Transit Museum. Located in a decommissioned subway station at 99 Schermerhorn St. in Brooklyn, the Transit Museum contains decades of subway cars complete with vintage advertising as well as station signage. This show contains an excellent collection of transit history in comics and I'm so thrilled to have my work included alongside artists like Roz Chast and Windsor McKay!
Print Mag has some
great photos and insights with exhibit curator Jodi Shapiro. I also spoke briefly with the
Brooklyn Paper shortly after the exhibit opened.
Here are a few photos from the opening reception in June 2018. The show has been extended through April 7, 2019 so there is still some time to check it out.
